For Schools and Organised Groups

We invite schools and organized groups to join us for cruises along the Gliwice Canal — a perfect blend of education, discovery, and relaxation. During the cruise, our crew introduces participants to the history and navigation of the Gliwice Canal. Moreover, participants can learn how the lock system works and become familiar with water safety principles in an engaging way. These cruises provide an excellent opportunity for thematic outdoor lessons in biology, nature studies, geography, and history. It’s a wonderful time for students to relax in nature, bond as a group, and learn through experience.
Educational cruises help students develop observation skills, stimulate curiosity and critical thinking, and shape a scientific understanding of the world. They leave lasting memories and make acquired knowledge more vivid and meaningful.

1.One-hour Nature Sightseeing Cruise

Time: approximately 1 hour. The cruise departs on the Dziewanna (groups of over 80 people) or Foxtrot (groups of 30 to 75 people). Price: PLN 59 per person for groups of 50 or fewer, PLN 55 per person for groups of over 50. For groups of school children - 1 guardian per every 15 people has free entry. Marina Gliwice can serve lunches (price and menu to be agreed), grilled sausages with bread and side dishes, as well as serve coffee and cake during cruise. The prices are valid until 31 of October 2025.

2. At the Colony of Cormorants – Cruise to the Cormorant Colony

Crossing the Łabędy Lock, while enjoying panoramic views of Lake Dzierżno Duże along the way. Then, sailing to the cormorant habitat, and returning to the Gliwice Marina. Cruises depart on the Dziewanna, Foxtrot, or Samba, depending on the number of passengers. The route is 20 km long and takes approximately 2.5 hours. Price: PLN 79 per person for groups of 50 or fewer, PLN 75 per person for groups of 50 or more. For groups of school children - 1 guardian per every 15 people has free entry. Marina Gliwice can serve lunches (price and menu to be agreed), grilled sausages with bread and side dishes, as well as serve coffee and cake during cruise. 3.Cruise to Pławniowice

Route: Depart from the Marina Gliwice, next Łabędy Lock, sail to the Cormorant Colony, pass through one of the tallest locks in Poland – the Dzierżno Lock (10.3 m), continue to Pławniowice, and return. Cruises depart on the Dziewanna or Foxtrot, depending on the number of passengers. Duration: approximately 5 to 6 hours There is an opportunity to visit the Ballestrem Palace and park in Pławniowice, during a break that lasts circa 1 hour. Pricing: 115 PLN per person (school group supervisors gets 1 free ticket per 15 students) + optional palace tour. Marina Gliwice can serve lunches during the cruise (price and menu to be agreed), grilled sausages with bread and accompaniments, as well as coffee and cake.

Additional Workshops

For each of the cruise options listed above, there is also the possibility of organizing bosun workshops onshore, after the cruise. During them, participants can learn how to tie nautical knots.

4.Offer for Technical Schools

Since the 2015 season, we have introduced a special program designed for students of mechanical and automotive technical schools. This includes lessons on outboard motor construction and hands-on training on operating an outboard engine on the water.

5.Offer for People with Disabilities

Our cruises are fully accessible for students with disabilities. Since 2014, we have actively collaborated with the Association of Disabled Sailors. Thus, adapting a cruise for participants with disabilities is never a problem for us.

6. Offer for Schools and Organised Groups

For organized groups, we offer exclusive charter of our ships: Dziewanna – up to 200 people, with two sun decks at the bow and stern, covered upper and lower decks, and a small bar. Foxtrot – a two-deck passenger ship for up to 75 people, with an upper deck that can be fully opened at the roof and sides. Lansjer – elegant and atmospheric houseboat for smaller groups, up to 10 people. The duration of the cruise is flexible and depends on the chartering group.
